Snapshot: TGV skirts 574.8km/h

Lots of local pride today here in Alsace as a TGV (constructed in Belfort, south of Strasbourg) tore through it’s own world speed record on the new ligne à grande vitesse between Strasbourg and Paris, touching 574.8km/h, or about 357mph… almost one mile every ten seconds.
