The TGV Est Européen between Paris and north-eastern France opened for commercial service today, and I was on one of the first trains to cruise from Paris to Strasbourg in just 2hrs 20m. Here’s a suitable photo taken from my seat. For once the blurry shot is not the fault of my ageing digital camera. More from Paris soon…
